Jannik joint the greenwerk. in the beginning of 2021 and supports the company as an Advisor for international climate finance and climate policy. Since his engagement at the greenwerk., Jannik supported several consultancies in the fields of renewable energy, electric mobility, industrial development, and coastal protection with his expertise and engaged with various partner institutions. He is knowledgeable on the climate finance landscape, including various climate funds, and skilled in investment planning and project formulation, including logical frameworks, budgeting and results tracking.
Jannik has a strong academic background in the field of economics, in which he specialized in development economics, macroeconomic policy, and social policy in the context of the low-carbon transition. After completing his bachelor’s degree in socioeconomics in Hamburg, Jannik accomplished a dual master’s degree, both from the Berlin School of Economics and Law and the University Paris XIII, demonstrating profound academic writing skills. Among others, Jannik can leverage work experience at the GCF headquarters in Songdo, South Korea. At the GCF, he worked on the evaluation of several concept notes and funding proposals regarding climate rationale, investment criteria, finance structure, and more.
